Jigsaw Sudoku Puzzles
(aka Squiggly or Irregular Sudoku)
This popular sudoku puzzle variant goes by several names including jigsaw, squiggly or irregular sudoku. The same basic rules apply, but the twist is that the 3x3 grids that make up the puzzle are no longer square. They are irregular and fit together kind of like a jigsaw or like the Tetris game. Jigsaw sudoku is often found in 6x6 (using the numbers 1-6 instead of the standard 1-9) or in the more traditional 9x9 grid. This variation introduces a new challenge and take a little longer to solve, but is very fun to play.
